Harbor Parking would like to sponsor a Beach to Bay Team this year. The team is made up of 6 runners. Each leg is 3-5 miles long. Registration is due by April 7, so if you are interested, let me know ASAP.

Wednesday, May 9, Tony Blair will be at the American Bank Center for the Spohn Lyceum. There are over 1000 guests and 99.9% of them will valet park. Last year we parked over 300 vehicles, filled up the barge dock, and surrounding parking areas. We need all hands on deck for this event, so please consider planning your schedule around this job. It is most appreciated. We have about 15 people signed up right now. We need about 15 more. Thanks team.

If you have a flair for writing and enjoy doing it, and work for Harbor Parking, and are creative, talk to me. If you’re spelling and grammer ain’t that well, don’t let that stop you. We can work with that. Mainly, I’m looking for creativity.

Harbor Parking Commercial

Calling all cars! We’re filming a commercial for Harbor Parking and we need some volunteers to bring out their vehicles. (You wouldn’t have to appear in the commercial–just your car.) The shoot will be this Sunday, November 20, about 1:30 at 3344 Ocean. If you want to help, e-mail the commercial producer, Reed Hewitt (reed@reedhewitt.com), with your name, phone number, and a short description of your vehicle. Harbor Parking Commercial

We have an exciting opportunity to create a fun commercial that will be posted on our website and entered into a local advertising competition (the Addys). The ad will use a technique called ‘stop motion animation.’ An example can be seen here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iLoA6BpUWqQ. The spot will highlight the points of contact that we (the valet) have with our customers.

The shooting will take place either Saturday morning, November 19 or Sunday evening, November 20. We will need all hands on deck so that we have a variety of vehicles and people. Also, if you have a flair for acting, this could be your big break.

Please make plans to attend the shoot. I will let you know when the date is decided. If you have friends or family that are willing to donate their time, skills, and or vehicles, let me know and bring them along .

Mall Manager

In an effort to improve our services at La Palmera, we have appointed a mall manager. Martin Aleman will be in charge of training new mall valets, QA/QC of the daily log, and other duties. Nathan Payne will continue to handle all scheduling. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Nathan.
